Hey, LunarFox. I'm just getting around this section. I'm very busy tomight, but I'll have this review completed for you, tomorrow afternoon. 🙂

Your Quick Review

Forum Pros:

Banner is actually really good, even if it is a simple look. I like the retro 8-bit style the text has. The text colors match up very well with the theme.

The Board icons are nice, too. At least you went custom. The only thing is, that it's hard to tell which is which, if you don't see the icon legend at the bottom. Try and make them similar, so it's easy to tell. Although, I do like the choice for Boo, cause I'm a fan of Boo's.

I like the skin colors you used, I like dark themes for my gaming forums, and this one works nicely. Only thing I would suggest, is adding a border color, that's a little more visible. Nothing too bright, maybe a very light gray would work. Just something to help separate each board listing.

Forum Cons:

When i first glanced over you forum, the first thing that did bug me was the forum width. It stretches too wide. I strongly recommend slimming the widte down, maybe 10-15% less of the current size. I promise you, just test it out; I'm sure you'll be happy with the result. And, if not just upsize it back, it's your call, but i think you should at least try it.

Another thing that kinda bothered me was your gaming board layout. I think you're taking a risk, by splitting the section into gaming genres, and not gaming consoles. Though, it does break away from the cliche of gaming forums; I just notice you have a few popular genres not listed, and may be confusing on where games from those genres should be posted at.

Final/General Thoughts:

Gaming forums are plenty around, so it's going to be tough to convince guests yours is a better choice for them. There are just so many, it's very stiff competition. Make sure to keep fresh gaming content, as well as general discussion content, so members have something new to look forward to post in everyday. Then eventually, they'll take over, providing the fresh content. Work hard at advertising, doing post exchanges, and getting a little extra boost to your forum.

What was most liked about the website/forums:

The overall look. Had a nice design, a few changes to make, and I think it'll be a great skin for a really good gaming forum.

What was disliked most about the website/forums:

The forum width. I just feel it was way too wide, and a slimmer version of the forum would look a little more tidier. And, just not liking the gaming genre sections. I think it may be too risky.

Final Score : 8.0 - (Out of 10)
