Okay, to start this review off, a basic over look of SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation is that it was developed by Slant Six Games and is a third person tactical shooter video game for the PlayStation 3. It was released on October 14, 2008 on the PlayStation Network and Blu-ray Disc in North America and March 2009 in Europe. The game is an online-only shooter, You can get confrontation packaged with the official PlayStation 3 Bluetooth headset or you can get just the game. Player is able to customize their character, choosing from a list of predefined items.

When this game first came out, the game had lots of potential, unfortunately for us SOCOM fanatics, it was almost too horrible to play. For a while, you would randomly get killed and have game stutters and glitches ruin your gaming experience, but like any game that has problems they worked to fix it. The best way they could have done it was to hold onto it a little longer, but what can you do? you have thousands upon thousands rushing you and after you push your hardest to get it to them on time… well they complain. Its not fully there fault they had a ruff start, they wanted to please there fans but they did the opposite. Many reviews are not longer up-to-date about this game, being it is online only the game constantly changes. Many people read all of the reviews that are old, and people do not realise they are old! SOCOM has patched the game left and right, some did great others didn’t do to great. The patches that where not great, they worked on them, released more patches. Over all, the game has turned out good in my opinion. Now I can not speak for everyone, and I understand it is not what all of us SOCOM gamers expected or wanted but this is a good game to play especially now that it is fixed. You no longer have the problems that you will read in most of the reviews for this game, yes, there might be some lag, there might be some problem, but there is no such thing as a perfect game.

Simply said, SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation developed by Slant Six Games is now a game all SOCOM players and other game enthusiasts can all enjoy. You can go off of the old reviews, or you can take a more up-to-date review, but remember online games are always changing and basing your games (online portions) off of old reviews, you will not get the best out of what could be your gaming experience. Some can think I am crazy but I personally would recommend you give this game a try, and now that you can find it online at a low prices from around $10-29 you cannot go wrong buying this game!
