Im thinking about creating a social netowrk do i keep my forum or social networking site for webmasters
Thanks
spudster 🙂

lol. A little advice. Stick to what you are doing currently. You already went from forum to forum host to forum, and now social network.
When you keep on changing ideas , no one will join any of the sites you make. Not trying to offend you, but its the truth.

I have to agree with Kavin.

Everyone - even myself has many ideas for forums, websites and so forth. But pick one - stick to it and grow, improve and make it better.

As Kavin mentioned, people will be turned away from your forums etc if they see you re-creating new forums all over the place. You get members who put top quality posts into your forum, spend time and activity on it, just for you to restart again and again. Some might re-join but others might not want to "risk" it as they dont want to put effort into your forum as before just in case you decide to change your mind again.

Keep your current forum, keep it up and progress.

Ok yous have a good point im just sick of my forum failing no matter how hard I try but i guess I will sick with this forum Improve it and make it better

Plus I didn’t pay a premium nanoskinners theme and .info domain just to waste the money away

And is there away to link the social network and mybb forum together or bring all the content over so users from the mybb forum can use the social networking or transfer all the content over they have a forum mod but I don’t know how to transfer all the data over (they don’t have a convertor anyone know how to manually carry data over?)

The main thing you have to remember is that forum activity and such don't appear overnight.

Get a few good friends and people you know to help you post and be active on your forums and seek help and feedback from other members of the public to find out what you can improve on.

I know the pain, you want your forum to be great and succeed, but it will only do that if you stay with it and dedicate your time with it.

I will help out where i can to post and be active on the forums and put good content posts aswell whilst suggestion some stuff to improve on the overall performance of the forums 🙂.

Thanks: D Im trying my best but my laptop broke just after I created the forum now im trying to run it on the Iphone (and Wii) which is hard on its own

Thanks for your help in posting

You just have you ask yourself why you do it. Are you doing it because you love it?

And a social network is more harder to run than a Forum.

And, i think you are trying to switch to new sites when your previous forum doesn't get activity. In that case you should work more to get activity.
Consider my Forum's case. Though it has a different niche than most other webmaster forums, until i reach around 5000+ posts, people doesn't join themselves. I did a lot of post exchange, paid FP$'s for people to post in it, etc. People like GAF, glock, Fiona.. helped to keep good discussions when its new.
Only after 5000+ posts, i had many members registering themselves and posting.

Yours is a general webmaster forum, so it will take more efforts than mine, due to the competition you have. Do a lot of post exchanges, and stick to one idea. When people trust your Forum as an established one, they will join on their own. But before that, you should prove it by keeping discussions going at any cost (efforts).

And, by the way, the theme you are using is a FREE theme from nanoskinners and not Premium.

Thanks 😀 I will try to keep the content going and do as much exchanges as Possible And as for the theme it used to be Premium but now they released it for free but depending how will the Forums goes I might even cosider buying A Premium one from nanno Skinners
I done alot of googling To find this

Its not used to be premium. They once used it in their site, if i was not wrong.

Either way, its free now, and it would be deceiving if you claim it as premium.
