Some Free Hand Drawings

Well, I have to keep a sketchbook for my art class. I picked two of them out an decided to show them on here. I might show some more, but chances are, you'll be seeing some of my work later on anyways. I can't guarantee you'll like them, but I tried.

Each one is a copy of the characters on the Season 8 of Family Guy. I didn't trace them, but free hand drew them, so I think they match up quite well, especially Stewie.

So please, tell me what you think. Please do not think that I am an expert, I actually did those in 15 minutes for each, because I put my sketchbook off until the night before it was due.

I honestly thought Stewie was going to jump out and cut my face off. Peter looks great too. You really captured the "balls" chin.

Thanks Agent. 🙂 I thought Stewie was pretty good too, I actually don't know how I drew him like that, I absolutely suck at drawing people.

Mmmm... it's OK, needs more shading/actual sketching. At the moment it looks a bit bland. As I think it is - sketch books are for sketching, not cartoon drawing.

If you're going for it to look cartoony though, (and if you're allowed to...) go over it all in pen and maybe colour it in.

Right now you can see there's something there, and the outline is well drawn but it just feels like it's missing something.

Jonathan, thanks for the feedback. Our teacher just wanted 9 drawings, and he said it doesn't matter what they are. Me not being an over achiever, I drew some stuff just to get the grade. 🙂

Thanks boss 🙂 And I didn't have time to add color, I did those in like 10 minutes a piece and it was 1am
