Some people are angry at anyone making an opinion.

It seems to be that way. Why do some feel that rank is needed in order to make an opinion? It would be like in the military where a private couldn't speak up as much as a general.

If you live in an area where there are more people who dislike what you say - than you would run into that more, obviously. But is saying it there stupid or brave?
 
I know a patriarch whose word is law in his home. When his adult children would express an opinion, the father would counter with a rebuttal. And in an argument, no one could beat him. Worse, he extends his authority outside his home. People younger than him seems to have no right to opine. And the result? No one in the neighborhood talks to him.

Qualification of the speaker varies, but also arrogance is possible.
