Well, I saw GB yesterday *posts a summary*

Apparently an anonymous TSA employee gave one of GB's associate watchdog groups some details about the scanners. If this source is correct, then the images are excruciatingly detailed to the sweat on one's skin, and news reports have altered versions.

As well, George Soros sold 11K shares in stock on the scanner machine company a few days ago.

I love this. Bush is allowed to access everyone's phone calls and emails without you batting an eye but when Obama installs these things that can really make the difference between a blown up plane and... well a not blown up plane, the conservatives are on him. Look at the Christmas bomber, that guy was able to get on with the crap he used because we didn't have stringent enough checking. Now that (hopefully) won't happen anymore.

Haha now I know someone on here watched Glenn Beck!

But hearing that really creeped me out, about the sweat. Also, he said he would show us the images...but they're too graphic for television.

Irviding- explain to me this: If I take children (my own, my younger siblings, whatever) to the airport to go on a trip, and they go through this scanner and now the TSA employees can see all these details, why is this form of CHILD PORNOGRAPHY legal for the government?

That's the most ridiculous and laughable argument I've ever seen. I'm not even going to dignify that with a response.

If you're not going to "dignify" me with a response, get out of the debate section. What kind of a debate is that?

Why don't you give me a real reason to believe why I made a "laughable argument," instead of being downright rude and disrespectful.

Thank you!

One more semester and I'll have more of an education than him.

All I can say is, however, who cares?

So the doctor who checks your kids private areas should be arrested for molestation? Your point is ridiculous. It's not being rude or disrespectful, it's just the truth. Bring up something serious. I'll tell you right now there are many real serious reasons why these things should not be up, not because it's "child pornography". As a GB watcher, I'm sure your only interest is to bring up stupid arguments to get a rise out of people. You do what floats your boat, just know that it's not to be taken seriously in the real world.

Last time I checked, my doctor didn't take pictures of my genitals at my last exam? And saved them, along with all the patients who came before and after me?

Yes, going to the doctor's can be uncomfortable, but I do place a little more trust in a licensed professional I've been visiting for 15 years than a TSA agent...

Yes, pegging someone who watches Glenn Beck as someone who brings up "stupid arguments to get a rise out of people" is disrespectful. What real, concrete evidence do you have that says this about people who watch Glenn Beck? I mean, have you even watched his show? Or are you too stubborn to do so?

Please don't give me any "he's a crazy conservative" bull crap because he's an independent.

You don't even understand how hard it is for me to have a conversation with someone who just assumes that people who watch Glenn Beck don't know what they're talking about. If you just assume you're right, then why bother saying anything at all?

I still think there are better ways to go about security than the scanners and the pat downs. Trained dogs, for one. Another option would be implementing a security system similar to what they have in Israel. This was actually part of a discussion in my sociology class today. Going solely on what the professor and students who have traveled to Israel discussed, Israel has an effective security system, without the scanners. Instead, a series of interviews are used, from the time you purchase your ticket, to even after you board the plane. Yes, a student said it was a pain in the ass. But it was effective.

Felicia, Irviding just loves his jailbait, can't hide for too long; you're busted 😉

Luckily TSA employees share the same joys so no worries.

I don't really get it...is this just a "he was right and I was wrong" situation? Because I won't bother sharing my opinion if it's not needed and we have one almighty member who knows all...

It's not like that at all. The whole child pornography thing just sounded so ridiculous. That's all.

I think I'll end this with something very laughable 😀

But to say something on topic.... I guess I could suggest that the TSA would have to hire an insane amount of people to do those interviews, which would be good on one hand. But on the other hand, somehow those people would have to be paid, meaning higher taxes or more expensive tickets, which I'm assuming is higher taxes or higher deficit...
