Everything he can take all your money I hope you have a pin so he can't use EFPOS depends if his phiscally got it or over the internet.

Get your bank to cancel it would be a great idea.

Most banks and credit card companies have protection against that and will reverse any charges made by the identity thief. Hopefully that was the case in etc's situation.

Wow, hopefully it wasn't related to an incident like Target.

One of my co-workers told me yesterday that someone found out his Social Security number and claimed him as a dependent on his taxes, even though he's 22 and lives on his own. He contacted the IRS and will still get his refund, but he'll never find out who did it since the IRS is confidential.

Good Point but also depends on the bank

Some banks in Australia don't require a pin for any transaction under $20 or a certain amount once it is over the amount limit it requires a pin.

Good Point but also depends on the bank

Thats why I said "most banks" but I would think all banks have some sort of protection and insurance against fraud.
