I want to try something different but not sure if many of you guys would agree or read upon it.
As you probably know I have started work for my new forum Blogg It and it is basically all laid out, and along with it we plan to have a blog although, we want to be different. Most websites/forums will have a blog attached to it and it is usually Wordpress they use, well we were planning to use Blogger - a free blogging platform. We know how to fully customize it, and not make it into blogger although would you read a Blogger blog? Or should I stick to Wordpress?

Being different and unique isn't about using different software. Blogger is hosted by Blogger and so you have less control over it than if you were custom hosting it, as you can with WordPress(.org)

As I mentioned above, if you want to be unique it's not about the technical stuff - make your site's content and ideology different and unique from any other similar sites.

Well guessing where your coming from I have a few themes that can basically make it look non-blogger alike without the Blogger bar at the top.

Well what's the point? Most would agree WordPress is more powerful and expandable. SEO is also something to consider - Blogger can be optimized I think but WP comes with a lot of built in SEO features. At the end of the day, it's down to preference.

Do you prefer to use the backend of WP or Blogger?

Completely agree, different software isn't being unique and I think using Blogger is probably worse. I see what you mean when you say you want to be unique but I don't think that's the right way to go though. Use Wordpress for a blog, not blogger.
