SOPA...Is...De....AD!!!

No it's not. It's back to the drawing board with it. It will be back in a different form.

Whoot it's dead for now!

:great: I hope something better comes back that will stop some of this.

It is not dead. What is happening is they are putting it on hold until Febuary whilst they try and sneek PIPA in, most people will be fighting against SOPA so that PIPA can pass without it been noticed as much. The only difference between these law's is the person who can make the choice to close a site down. So either way, one of those laws will pass, they are been quite cheeky about it. Delaying a law to get another one through.

Lamar Smith introduced a bill last year that he's trying to push through under the assumption that it is an anti-child pornography law. It is not.

Protecting Children From Internet Pornographers Act of 2011

Under the bill, ISPs would be required to collect all your internet activity for 18 months. Link. Zoe Lofgren (hero for the internet) is trying to get the bill renamed to "Keep Every American's Digital Data for Submission to the Federal Government Without a Warrant Act of 2011"

One thing is sure: Lamar Smith and co-sponsors wants to destroy the internet. Can we please vote these clowns (I really wanted to say ****ers, but I know my post would get deleted) out of office?

If this was 4chan or reddit or any other place that didn't have 13 year olds on it, I'd call this anus much worse names.

All we can do is to continue and show how much this would effect the internet and the way it's used, so I'm glad to see it halted now, but I don't see them giving up.

I do hear Anonymous is making threats to certain companies such as Sony and others for supporting these acts. Not saying I agree with their methods, but if they are willing to go that far to show what this means to some, then that's a big message.

Oh hey, there's 3 from FL on that list, not surprised. Of course when your governor is the parasite that committed the biggest case of medical fraud against the US government, stealing money from tax payers to probably spend on blow and underage hookers what can you do.

Want to know what I think?
Warning: language, blah blah blah

Ok well to not seem like a complete ass I'm just pissed off at these people at the moment. I try not to, it's not worth getting worked up over something.

Ehh, in any case I'm sure they're having a lot of stress now, good for them. Let them get hypertension and cardiovascular disease I don't care they chose it on themselves.
