Dark themes work great on miscellaneous forums such as gaming, music. etc. Since your forum's topic is based aroung gaming, then that theme fits well in general standards. You have a great arrangemement of categories and forums, and a very nice banner. This site definitely has potential; great work.

looks good. Maybe if you are committed and have the money to upgrade to Ipb or Vbulletin. Both of which offer a lot.

Does it matter what software a forum is on? I personally prefer PhpBB because it is simple, easy to use (not just for Admins), and can do alot. vBulletin has extra features that are just a waste, though I do like their infraction system.

We've gotten many updates over the past few months including a reputation mod, however, we can only keep it if we get donations. We don't ask for much but it keeps the experience fun for everyone.

Well, I'm back. Totally forgot about Forum Promotion for a while.
SGP has reached it's 10,000th post and as well, 150+ members. We're starting off our machinimas in the near future, and forum activity is at a high. Our forum is going over a re-haul right now, though everyone is still entitled to join up. Because we are on a free host, we can't do as much as we would want, however, our host has added features that are great for our forum including:
Image Re-sizer mod
"Contact us" mod
Auto Place into Groups
We have also hit the digital age in terms of social networking websites. Sour Grunt now also has a Facebook fan page and group. We may as well expand to Twitter in the coming months.

And, if you're good at writing, we're offering a "Novelist" rank now. These members write random Sour Grunt News, and have access to our Blog, as well as having powers to post their stories straight to the front page and onto our Portal, which is also brand new.
As well, our Community game nights are still up and running, on both the PC (Steam) and Xbox 360 platforms. Our '2nd Annual Winter Games' is upcoming, and that is always a pleaser, so join now for a great time.
