Has anyone here been getting bombarded with spam calls lately? On Tuesday I got four calls, yesterday I had a whopping 7 calls! Today I had 6 phone calls! I have a setting on my phone where it will silence my phone if it's a number my phone doesn't recognize. These are all different numbers that show that they're coming from different cities in my state but when I look most of them up on Google, there's absolutely nothing that shows up. Some of them attempt to leave a voicemail but they don't. I know it's election time and I have received a few texts from different representatives in my county/state. But I don't think this is from politicians.

I rarely get spam calls anymore, and when I do, they're generally marked as spam by my iPhone. I can't even recall the last time I got a spam call. Unless I'm awaiting a call from an unknown number, I generally don't answer the phone anyway.

I do not get many spam calls however I do get spam texts lately more so then calls from the landline, then again who has a landline nowadays and have a spam mobile call....

There was a number out of Indiana that kept calling me, I answered once and the line hung up before I started to say "Hello?". Ultimately I blocked the number, they never left voicemails either so I don't know what that was about. Aside from that one I haven't had too many recently.

We used to get bombarded with them on our landline which I think was the result of the vBulletin data breach in November 2015. Before that date we got perhaps one every six months but after the breach it never let up so we ditched the landline.

I get very few on my mobile number but interestingly enough if I do, my daughter who has an almost identical number but for one digit, gets the same call. That suggests our numbers are not on a list like my landline clearly was but being called by a bot.

It comes in waves for me on my cell phone. It's like, one day there will be multiple calls and then I'll go for a week with none.

I haven't been having this issue too much the last couple weeks, but I went a few months where I was receiving at least five spam calls a day. Just about all of them would leave a voicemail about some type of tax solution. It's all different phone numbers. All different voices/names on the voicemails.

It is common during election season. Many spammers use different city area codes to bypass call-blocking systems. Consider using call-blocking apps or reporting the numbers to help reduce spam calls.

Every now and then I get calls like that, but I just hang it up or block those calls.

I use the 'Silence Unknown Callers' feature on my iPhone, so all spam calls go straight to voicemail. However, like @Ravenfreak, I’ve been receiving more spam calls than usual.

I don't seem to get too many spam calls, but if it's a number I don't recognize and I'm not expecting a call, I don't answer it. My phone also says if it's a suspected spam call too, and if I'm able to immediately send them to voicemail, I will, otherwise it just rings through. Sometimes they actually do leave a voicemail, and I delete those.

I went ahead and turned on the "silence unknown callers" feature on my phone. I recently switched from an iPhone XR to Motorola Moto G 5G 2024 and noticed that on Android the calls actually get flagged as spam, they never did on my iPhone. Makes it much easier to figure out if it's a bill collector or a spam call. I received a couple more this week but not as much as I got last week thankfully.

I get them every few days. I just got 2 back to back. I have a lot of numbers blocked so when they call my phone rings once then stops immediately as they get hit with the block, so i'm pretty sure the ones calling me are repeat offenders. They try making their numbers "Private" now too.

It's not possible for a scam number to call me. Any number not saved in my contacts can't call me.

My call manager on my android can identify spam calls and automatically block them. That's why I don't receive spam calls regularly.

Used to get them all the time, like eight of them a day, but since having BT CallProtect installed years ago that's no longer an issue... well, I do get about one or two a day but there are just of new members that try to slip through the net.

Yes it's a bit too much.
I feel like it's getting out of hand. Hope the condition will improve soon.

This is why I have a problem with answering my phone. So many calls are spam calls that I don't pay much attention to my phone. I need to check to make sure it's not a family member or friend before dismissing it.

My Truecaller App helps to keep all spam callers out. Unless someone in my contact is trying to piss me off, I don't have to worry about spam calls.

Managing spam calls is annoying. It's why I love smartphones with the feature to block spam calls from numbers not saved in contact. My smartphone have the feature.
