Spam Emails

How do they send you spam?
How do they know my email address?

I get loads saying I have won the lottery - I win like 50 million every hour ~lol~

They get your email either by you signing up for something and giving out your email and then they add you to a list of emails to spam. Another way is that they pick up your email if you have posted it on a website or forum which is why i always suggest not posting your email on forums. Bots search the web and automatically pick up and store these email addresses and spams them.

I dont get many at all...but I sign my email up for loads of random junk...I dont understand -🙁-

Add your email to your sig and i am sure you will get spammed massively in a day or so -lol-

I have gotten about a 100 spam emails today about the War with Isreal ,I keep blocking them and more keep coming ~cry~

I've gotten some that I actually know about, but don't want. Facebook - Is there any way to make no emails get sent out? I've gotten one for "Ryan has changed his status."

When someone relpies they know they have an active account and you will recive more. They may not even be marked as spam because you replied.

I hate the spam that you can't unsubscribe to. I have optonline and they spam filters don't do anything. Which really sucks because that is my favorite account too. ~cry~

Are you using an Email provided by your ISP?

It was facebook, and I was already getting alot. All I need to know is if I can turn the E-mail alerts off so I never have to deal with 50 messsages every day.
