Sparkling usernames?

Do you have sparkling usernames on your forum? Why or why not?

I actually cannot stand usernames with that sparkle image, or any kind of sparkles. 😛 I love sparkles don't get me wrong but it looks tackier than username icons IMO.

No because that feature isn't available with phpBB and I can't be assed coding something to make it work.

Nope, because they're not very appealing. Not to mention they're pretty distracting. I wouldn't ever enable them as they make everything else look bad on the forum. 😛

I like sparkling usernames, but it does affect the professionalism of a site.

However, there are many sites that are designed for fun, and in those cases it's perfectly acceptable to allow them.

These always look unprofessional in my opinion. A colored username should be enough to distinguish staff. effects on the username, icons, and backgrounds are too much I think, unless it's a customer support forum where staff need to stand out especially.

I don't have sparkling usernames on my forum. I may consider having them in the future.
