This is mobile broadband! Sometimes it's faster (~2 mbit) but today it isn't for some reason.
Speedtest
The first test I did today:
200 mi:
1080011404.webp

After some tests...
50 mi:
1080014133.webp
200 mi:
1080016129.webp

Pingtest
200 mi (the only server available):
30653921.png

(the packets test failed for some reason, probably because I'm on Linux and although I have Java, their script might not like Linux)
That's quite good for mobile.

Actually they promise 7,2 MBit/s on 3G modems like mine and more recently 21 MBit/s on more recent mobile modems, however I think it's just marketing blah blah, since I've never seen my speed higher than 3MBit/s.

So you see we're not getting what we pay for 🙁

Yea your bandwidth can be hot sh** on a silver platter, but your dns may be a cold turd on a paper plate 😀...

The default DNS of my ISP is almost as slow as the page taken to load the page itself (sometimes, 1000ms to ping Google!). Google DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) or OpenDNS are definitively better.

My speed on that always changes, but suffet to say that I can download a gigabyte in under 2 hours.
