Sports Radio Seems Boring

Now, sports radio combined with TV can be cool. I remember a guy used to watch football with the radio announcer on and the TV volume on mute.

Anyway, is this supposed to be some imagination thing like reading a book? What I mean is that you'd have to imagine the game only thru a vocal presentation (Something that could be seen as superior as some think the imagination is more interesting).
 
For anyone in the UK, talkSport was fun to listen too. Not only do they talk random about sport but also general banter, especially for the "Hawksbee & Jacobs" programme in the early afternoon 🙂

A vocal commentary about sports is fun - but I can't understand why a play-by-play coverage would be.
