Squidoo Lenses for Promotion

Are squidoo lenses good for promoting your site or product? I recently created my first one for my Nintendo Site hoping it to boost my rankings or traffic, but so far I've only moved up one spot in rankings and I can't really say/deny that to a squidoo lens I created (even though i think it is a nice lens).

Has anyone actually gotten anything useful from their Squidoo Lens? Would you add more to mine, or take things away from it? (http://squidoo.com/nintendowiiforums)

squidoo is really only any good if it's popular to get to the frontpage or popular pages

When you add your forum you should get some link juice. What you can try is a linkwheel where you have 6 sites all pointing to your forum and each site pointing to 1 of the 6 sites.

This site looks exactly like Traffic Digger, only with a different name. I've tried it before, and it doesn't seem to work. You can try this, but I can't guarantee success.
