Allan was hired under the condition of a week's probation. @Lämmchen is the best person to ask, but my best guess would be she announced the promotion until a successful pass; otherwise, it could cause some issues like an embarrassment for Allan. But, congratulations Allan!

@Empire, @Alexander is correct that we brought Allan on and gave him a week to decide if it was right for him as well as being right for us. That's why the delay in making the announcement 🙂
