Staff comminication?

How do you keep in touch with all of your staff members? Do you use the forum itself or something off of the forum? Which is the best way?
 
I normally just have a special forum for staff to keep in contact with each other. For other matters we can use emails or hopefully even faster of Skype or another type of voice communication software.
 
Having a staff lounge is a good idea for any forum. Then possibly have a shoutbox, IRC channel or Skype group for communication.
 
In the past always had a staff room and used the PM system.

I've no staff on my current forum but do have a staff room set up ready. Also I use it as a test post area and a reminder for stuff.
 
I tend to just use the forum itself, but I like to have a secondary form of contact - either skype, facebook, a phone number, etc. I usually give my phone number to staff as well so they have it in case of emergencies and I'm not around.

We have a staff chat forum, we talk on skype, or facebook as well.
 
We use the forum itself. We have a Staff Café where all our staff discussions are stored.

I expect my staff team to be active and visit the forum frequently, and they do so, so we don't need other platforms apart from the forum itself. 😛
 
Most of the discussion happens in a staff board on the forums themselves. We do have a Skype chat that we don't really use anymore and a Discord chat that also doesn't really see much use, but they're there if we decide we need to use them.
 
Mostly talk through the forum. Either through PM or through the staff section. Though there are some I talk to through chat and stuff.
