It's a bit more professional if staff don't post in forum games.
I might post in 1, 2, even 4 forum games when I got some spare time (after filling packages), but I've started to post less and less in the FG section.
Forum Games is a really low priority to me and my staff (when I have a forum), so I tell them to get their work done for the time and then go an post in the Games...
Eh, I don't tell my staff not to post in Forum Games, mostly they just don't. I only go in their to hand out warns (which is rarely needed). Most of the spam games in there really damage my IQ =/.
On my previous forum Staff members never posted in the Game section, actually they did not have time. I don't blame them though, I don't post in that section either because in all honesty I find it completely pointless. We had a massive problem with members inflating their post count so much so that a special unite was created to simply monitor the 'forum games' section. It's not because the staff does not post in the forum games that they do not regularly read it's content.
In my opinion the forum game section is borderline to spam, and in numerous cases leads to it.

I sometimes do and sometimes post up a new game but there really isn't a need for it. All your doing is either counting or saying something good about the person above.
I'll occasionally drop a post in a forum game if it's good or popular. But you have to be careful, because a mod posting in some random inane thread can validate the thread (or worse, if it's especially stupid it could de-value the mod), so I make sure everyone operating below me at least has the sense of judgment necessary to avoid the especially silly ones. A lot of that has to do with the community's culture as well.
Most of my staff do, probably me more than anybody else. Nobody has had a problem with it so far and I have never had a problem with a staff member doing it on another forum.
