Stalk me

John Feit was a Catholic priest in Texas who murdered a young schoolteacher in 1960.

During Holy Week in McAllen, 25-year-old Irene Garza went to church for confession. Feit assaulted and strangled her, and her body was later found in a canal. Despite early suspicions, he was not charged at the time and continued working within the church for years.

The case remained unsolved for decades until it was reopened. In 2017, Feit was convicted of Garza’s murder and sentenced to life in prison. He died in 2020 while serving his sentence.
