Thank you for requesting feedback. I have tagged your thread, and will finish an official review within at most 72 hours. In the meantime, you will receive informal feedback from other reviewers and members at Forum Promotion. Once your official review is complete, you will be free to ask questions and receive feedback so long as your website remains online, and this topic remains reasonably active. You will also be able to request a re-review 14 days after this review is completed.

I am sorry, what do you mean when you say as long as it stays only?

It means the thread will be closed and moved to archive if your website is closed down. This thread will stay open as long as your website is open and still receive a reply every once in a while.

I see, well maybe you should change the word in that template from 'only' to 'online'. So then it would make more sense 🙂

I've fixed the template in this post. A team leader will surely fix it for future posts as well. Thank you.

Design Quality

I'll start this section off by saying there's nothing wrong with your design in a sense, you've played it safe and kept it simple. My issue is that you've played it too safe with your theme design and your logo. For your theme, it is all very close to the same color background - your actual background, h2, table cells, etc. all have that very similar dark gray. All of your links have that same blue, there's no variety. Use some of that blue for your h2 or perhaps in your header. Add a different shade of blue for your link hover state. On a gaming forum, I expect to see something a bit more related to your game focus (I know you're not just about one specific game or game type, but there's got to be something in all of Steam that you community favors).

Furthermore, your logo once again isn't bad but it doesn't take any risks. Other than just being the name of your forum, there's nothing about it that would make me remember it's your forum and not someone else's steam forum that I might happen to run across. Work on your branding and make this forum yours - don't be afraid to take risks with your design.

Site Statistics

You have 285 posts in 98 threads. If everything was distributed evenly, that's less than 3 posts per topic in what is not a lot of topics. As I scan your forum, I see many forum sections that don't have many topics at all. Introductions has the most topics, which makes me think you have members joining and introducing themselves, never to be seen again. General Chat is your next most popular forum by topic count, which shouldn't really be the case given that it's your off topic area. Your Steam Chat and Gaming categories are laid out well in my opinion, but you just haven't put in the proper time to fill it with content. Post more topics for various games, and if you can't do it all yourself, request some packages and do some exchanges to get some content. Right now, this forum looks empty and would not make me join if I were a guest interested in Steam games.

On the member count side of things, you only have 27 members. I think this will rise as you work on your topic posting a bit as well as your design, so I won't repeat myself here. Just keep at it!

Originality

It's not often that I review a forum that does well in originality, but your forum impresses me. You technically are a gaming forum which is one of the most popular niches out there (second only to promotion forums, most likely). I would tell any gaming forum to find something to focus on, to narrow your focus and to work within a sub-group of the large gaming niche. You've already done this. Focusing on Steam lets you focus on multiple consoles like any gaming forum but you have that clear purpose by focusing on a specific feature of those consoles/systems.

While I could give you some things to do to improve your originality, they would mostly all relate to design which I've already covered (so i won't let that affect your score here). One thing you may want to consider is hosting "live game nights" for a certain system or tournaments for a certain game. Get your community (once you build one up) playing together and interacting, rather than just talking.

Excellent

Final Remarks
You're off to a great start with a good idea for a community, just work a bit on your execution. Take risks with your theme and logo design and focus more on posting content to your forum. You've got potential with SteamChat!
