Do we have any Star Gate fans here? And if so, which of the shows did you like the most, and which do you wish they had continued airing, if the TV show producers had the chance to continue to air the shows?

Im a SG fan! I started watching SGA. I remember the SGO but was young and wasnt interested at the time.

I loved the concept and humour it gave. My fav character was Dr Mckay. Such an ace!

I ended up watching all versions of SG and sad to see its not on anymore. Someday....

They did say they might do a reboot etc. We will see.

Whyyy all great shows cancel lol. Ill stop dreaming now!

From what I remember, they canceled the shows, because of contract issues and airing times.

The person who directed the Movie that started the whole TV show run, is going to be making two movies to broaden it, in hopes to help get interest in getting a new show up and running.

One of my all time favorite shows. I really wish they went on more with Universe instead of canning it so early. It had so much potential, especially since it was a much more serious tone than SG1 and Atlantis.

I enjoyed watching Universe also. It had great potential to add to the set.

I've been a huge fan of Stargate since it first came out. For a long time, I didn't have Showtime, so I could not see the original episodes. Later on, I watched on Syfy and DVD. I love having TV marathons with Stargate. I like all the spin off shows, even Universe, which is really dramatic and emotionally wrenching sometimes.

Universe had pretty big potential to help broaden the idea that there is more to what Stargate could offer in exploration of other galaxies.

I didn't like the way they chickened out when dealing with some of the aspects of things in Universe. Like that part about TJ's baby, was it dead or with some colonists? I would have loved it if the show had just manned up and allowed some weird alien/supernatural event to have taken the baby away rather than making it out like all that was in her crazy, grieving mind. Or, am I remembering the show wrong? It has been many years since I saw those episodes. Anyway, wasn't she involved with the Colonel Young at least briefly in an affair. Everyone knows that's his baby, but for much of the time he seemed very cold and indifferent toward her. I didn't watch the later episodes toward the end of season two. Did he seem at all heartbroken that their child had died? Just would have liked for him to show some emotion about something real such as his own flesh and blood.

I think the original StarGate was very well explored in terms of topics. I'm not sure what they could say now that wasn't said the first time, not just with SG1.

If they are planning to do any movies, hopefully they are not just a rehash of same old bad guys come back yet again for the fifth time or just Hollywood versions of the same themes they covered in the series.

Something new would actually be nice in the way of a movie.

If those movies are about Atlantis or Universe, then I would not mind watching as I don't feel like either storyline went far enough. Or, rather I would love to just explore more of those storylines, rather than the SG1 cast/story.

I would love that too! They did pretty well on the SG1 story line, and I would love to have some of the Atlantis line worked on just a little more to see what they could do with it.
