Starting a Nintendo Forum

[Impulse]

I started this project a while back, but I had to shut down my site because I lost my job and the AZ economy went to hell.

Anyway, I know there's a lot of forums in this niche, but I've yet to come across the perfect Nintendo forum. They're always all about 1 series (Pokemon usually) or focus too much on the Wii and not Nintendo as a whole and there isn't an established Nintendo site that's putting out News regularly and if it is, the forums don't have a lot of discussion - Always one or the other.

What would you suggest or would like to see on a Nintendo forum? I've got a lot of features of my own, but I'm starting to run out of ideas...

I would like to see good reviews, I can maybe work for you and write some reviews.

Also, some history would be good. Characters, games, consoles: the basics really.

Can you post all you have so far? I mean all the forums you plan to put on it

I'm sure I can put reviews up weekly, but I wouldn't mind the extra help. PM your offer. I already have the Homepage linked with the Review forum as well, so that's a plus.

Good idea. I think Sub-Pages on the Homepage would work fine.

Also, have you thought about adding the history of nintendo?

I would like to see some maybe interactive events? Like maybe Animal Crossing visitations, SSMB brawls, and more/

Hadn't though about that, but now that you mention it, I think game-related goals wouldn't be such a bad idea... something like a contest, but it has to be done in-game. I haven't seen this done in any forums before, but I think think it could work! 🙂

I'd quite like to see like a Nintendo Wiki with details on Nintendo's history, notable figures, famous games etc ;D

I have a few ideas for a Nintendo Wiki. Instead of using that, I think incorporating a wiki-like feature into the site would be better overall. 🙂

Yeah, an integrated wiki would be cool ;D Like maybe embed mediaWiki using forum permissions and logins ;D I've never tried this with vBulletin though.

That's unfortunate Zenith, you always had the best Pokemon forum around this area tbh. It's a shame the old host had to go down unexpectedly.

I'm pretty sure I saw a Mod that does this, if not then it can't be that hard to make! 🙂
