Starting Fresh

Alright so i recently wanted to start a new forum with a paid host. (current one if free host) But i don't want to continue my old General Chat forum as its not active at all anyways . I got in mind some new topics but don't know which is best for everyone. They are Technology, Gaming and Graphics. If you got any more good ideas please post 😉. I would like to know which topic is a good field to get started in and also i would like to know which is a great host that has 99.9% up time and has been around for at least a year, so i know its not going to just go down...

Most of those forums have already been around. I'd say unless you can get exclusive information, don't open a forum in any of those areas.

Which area are you most interested in? If your not interested in the actual forum you will get bored with it.

the few i listed are interesting to me but as "Kirisute Gomen" said there are a few forums out there already and unless i get exclusive content i wouldn't have a good chance on it getting big. Do you have any ideas? if the topic u reply with interests me and i know about it i might do that topic. i can't think of any as of now

Why not use all those topics in the forum? You can have a gaming section, a graphics section, and a technology section. Surely there are many individuals (such as myself) that are interested in all three.

i have a general chat running but i get like really 0 members on and i try to advertise but still no one...

Yes agreed. I have seen too many times members wanting a share of power, and so they straightaway think being an admin is the only way to go. They tend to fail. :yes:

Start a forum for whatever you have a passion for and that you believe you could make successful or try and find a gap in the ''forum market'' that interests you.

I like to play CSS/CS(counter strike / source), TF2(team fortress 2), L4D (Left 4 Dead), ECT 😀.

By the way is it a bad idea to start up a promotion or/and admin forum? i just bought 3 domains that fit right now lol (adminpromotion.com/net/info) i could use it or sell it 😉

It's a bad idea if you cannot come up with something original and unique that makes your forum stand out from all the existing competition. If you can include something like that on your forum go for it, if your promotion forum is going to be another "me too" site, probably best to try something else.
