Hello,

I've been recently using StatCounter for my blog. Just wondering if its reliable or not. I have had some awesome figures, so not sure if its reliable or not.

Cheers.

It all depends on how you have it set up, usually when I set a counter up with them I set it to unique hits and not page views cause page views could rack up just from you viewing your site, You can also set the amount a time before the same visitor is counted again, I usually set mine to about an hour or so.

Use Google Analytics. It is much more reliable, and you don't have to pay for extra features.

That was hardly the question answered. I do use GA, just was asking about the reliability of SC.

I see, its all unique hits, somewhat 200 unique per day (but thats with half an hour). I'll set it with 1 hour to see the difference.

Then I'd say not very reliable.

Ok, thanks.

Any more thoughts?
