Do you all consider it wrong? If so, to what degree? How should the law punish it? How do you feel the current economy influences it?

It can be wrong to steal food then again if you really need food then anyone will do anything to stay alive, live to death

A judge would take that into consideration, unless a lot was stolen. Well, those ladies in the video went off with $2000 with of meat!

If they're caught, the law will deal with them and give them a punishment that they think is appropriate. It's not for us to decide.

In that case then that would be bad, I mean if I needed food I go ask or steal a small amount but not 5K worth 😛

I suspect this debate will become extremely relevant sooner rather than later.

While an article on stealing $2000 of meat is probably a little click-bait in terms of journalism I do believe food poverty for a sizable number of so called 1st world populations is with us already and it will probably get substantially worse very quickly.

Stealing is wrong, generally speaking. Still, if you’re stealing things (like food) as a matter of survival, it’s certainly difficult for me to wag my finger at you in moral disapproval.
