Sticking with a forum

If you want to experiment try asking for a job on another forum. Then you still get to experiment with different hosts, different niches and different users.

Actually, that's what I'm thinking of doing. I'm tired of going from one host to another every few weeks, tired of having people mad at me, tired of it overall, really! So I think that's what I'll do. Thanks John! Plus, this will give me the satisfaction of helping someone else make their forum a success without so much stress on my part.

Kind of cheesy, I know, but I'm desperate to kick my habit, and I can't do it without your guys' help!

 

[Red Herring]

1. Don't give up so soon! Any forum you start will always get worse before it gets better. You just have to tough it out, and you will get a break.

2. If you have a passion for it, don't close a board and open another. Stick with 1 and offer something the 'many' other forums don't. You say there are a lot more forums that discuss the same, but if you can find something to offer that they don't that almost guarantee's more members.

3. Don't listen to negative thoughts. More and more admins are closing forums because of others saying 'they can't do it' or 'oh no, another forum'. If you like doing it then stick at it. Just don't keep opening and closing forums.

Amen brother. I think a lot of people do this too much nowadays because of what others believe. Not speaking of Ashley, just a lot of forum owners out there. +Rep
