Stomp photography forum Exchange.

tl/dr:
I'm mainly looking for daily ongoing exchanges for fstomp.com (photography niche) however I'm open to just about anything. Just let me know.

About the forum. (https://fstomp.com)
F Stomp is a brand new website, so there is almost no content yet. I will be actively posting, but need some more people to help me get started. It's focused around hobbyist photographers, so we can get together in a casual way and do critiques of each others work, share resources, participate in challenges, and grow as photographers.

What I am lookig for.
Ideally, I am looking for a few people that are willing to do some ongoing (daily) exchanges, and it would be preferable if they were actually a little bit into photography. That being said, I know I don't live in a perfect world so I am open to offers.

I would also like if somebody that is currently running a successful forum would be willing to help me out. This will be the first time I actually attempt this with any seriousness and am really optimistic, but that doesn't replace experience.

What I can offer.
I am willing to exchange posts with any forum, and I have a broad set of interestes. Everything from gaming, to programming, to web design, open source, Linux, etc.

I have worked in hosting companies, and tech companies so I can be insightful for people that are hosting their own forums. I know quite a bit about the tech side of this process and am willing to help anyone that needs it.

As someone who is into photography himself, I guess I can fit right in 🙂 And from your interests, you'd be a perfect fit for mine I'd think. Although, you are free to do your set of posts on mine today but I would prefer to return the favour the next day if that's fine with you (because it's late here and I've been caught up with other things right now). Although, I really do think your forum does need some content but hey, at least it's a start 😉

One question I'd like to ask though... what platform does your forum run on? I've not seen it before. Looks very unique 😛

Yeah, that's fine. I'll start on your forum sometime tonight. The platform is called Discourse, and it is fairly unique. It's come a long way over the last year or so. I like it for a few technical reasons, but I also think it strips out a lot of the issues I have had with forums for a long time.

Oh yeah, I've heard of Discourse... though not so much. Is it fairly new?

Also, I hope you can come on soon enough, before I can rest for the day. I say this because I have admin approval up but don't worry, as soon as I get an email telling me that I have a new member, you'll be let in straight away 🙂

I want to join you if you are really gonna do this. Well, I am not a good photographer but I can show activity on others posts, even I am running a photo site which is free to download photo (which is now in hold, just getting new host after a year of building and fixing issues)...This is not the case I want to join, I think you can understand everyone needs something. So, I am also looking for some traffic/promotion but not like forced but genuine way.

If you are serious and going to continue I will join if not I think no matter because I think I will join you. Just want to know your plan and at least I would know where the idea is going.

Because I joined forums and showed activity but many of them are now closed. (I am running my own forums and blog and youtube) so I can not get much time to post on other forums and topic should be good to answer (my position must be good means no spam). My all posts to those sites just gone.

I am incredibly serious about this. I love photography, and don't have any real friends that are into it. I also love web design and development. I'ts only natural that I ended up building a photography website.

As far as promotion goes, I'm certainly open to ideas and would love to chat more.

I too have joined man photography forums, and found that either I get rediculed because I'm not a professional with $10K worth of equipment, or the forum eventually closes down and I'm left in the dust. I don't want that to happen anymore!

Also, I'm an experienced web developer. If you want any help with your project, or are looking for a place to host it we can talk about that too. Maybe we can become some sort of partnership, and grow together.

Because these days I am not joining any forum as most of them are closed or changed the niche. I am not so active in photography forum but yes in tech forums.

I visit photography sites for knowledge as I am not an expert in designing and photography. Also, visit photography blog to know how they click photos. I think I will go slowly because of I more active on the tech side.

Good to know you are a web developer. Well, I am not choosy to select the host, I just started it so only cheap hosting is best for me now. It is okay for now. I will tell you after some time (I am trying to fix a few things now).
