Stop/Start Forums

Ability to make email filters is there for a reason. I tend to block the email addresses or main characteristics of these emails such as the forum name in order to stop getting these.

Or just reply and shout at them and tell them to stop sending all this crap and tell them to delete your account. Problem solved also and they might learn a lesson.

I just click Spam when I first get this type of thing and it jumps into my Spam box and not my email account.

This is why the first thing to do on my "checklist" when registering to new forums, is turn off all email contacts from members, admins, topic subscriptions, and board updates.

I laughed so hard...

I make a checklist for signing up to sites. Over 100 members, decent activity and with a topic that interests me. I make some exceptions to the rule (if a people advertises on my site, I advertise my site on their site). Lately that hasn't happened much.

I'm only on three main forums now: here, my forum and another one with a whopping 20,000 members.

My forum e-mails go to a person called Mr. Anthony Lynch who's address is [email protected] :lol:

Serves him right for getting spammed. Everyone knows that yahoo has dreadful filters 😛

Most of the forums I sign up go to an email account which I have 70,000+ spam emails in.

I made a special email for promoting and spams 🙂 Works everytime.

Yeah I have a separate email used for signing up for forums and whatnot. Whoever uses their primary email to sign up for such things is asking for spam.
Actually I have a few emails..
spam email
my forum's contact email
email for online friends
email for family, work related, online bill pay, etc.

I never read them, if the subject says We're back, or We're closing, I delete it without reading it. I get these from forums I don't remember signing up for, then I remember that I did a package there. They annoy me to death.

Um, yeah, that would be me.... I'm seriously sorry about this too. I really wish people would not talk behind other people's backs.

I really am willing to turn over a fresh leaf. I am even starting to hire staff members. I know you all are annoyed with me, and I regret the day I even got into the phase to begin with. But life goes on and really, there is a thing where you can have an option not to recieve emails from administrators like myself. If people think I am really that bad, then I obviously don't deserve to be on sites like this.

I hate that when people pinpoint members. Because people like me do come back and see these topics eventually, and yes that did offend me somewhat, but I'm not going to be upset about this though, because I know this is the internet.
