Submitting site to directories

Hi

Other than SEOClerk does anyone know of any directories I may submit my site to? Or anywhere that I can hire a person or a team to submit my site to directories.

My impression is that directories have largely fallen out of use. I'm not sure that they are as valuably as they used to be. Even for SEO, I imagine that google takes all backlinks from directories with a serious grain of salt.

Directory listing is still very relevant for SEO as it provides good back-linking. You should not generate back-links through unauthorized or irrelevant websites or low quality websites but high quality PR websites are still in use.

If you are selling a product then I would suggest for classified submissions rather than directories, or maybe you can go for business listing websites. Directory submissions are just a waste of time and money now.

there is a free directory called dmoz. if you get your website listed there then other directories will get that data from dmoz and your website will be on more directories.

I have heard that this technique is now useless with Google, they are know that is just spam and they do not count it.

If you are going to do paid directory submission, it may approve within 10 days or as per describe in directory rules, but if you are doing it on free, they will hardly approve your site or it may take 6 months or more...

Google the directories, there are a lot of lists for free submissions. The Warrior forum is probably the best for hiring seo experts.

Directory submissions are now not so important as they used to be earlier because Directory submissions were the easiest way to improve your keywords quickly long time back, And Google keeps getting smarter and smarter over a time. But you can create back links still but those sites must have a quality site with good PR, PA and DA.

Directory submission used to play a nice role few years back But nowadays if you are going to submit your website in the directory so, Be careful during submission. A site must have with good PA, DA and PR. Thus, your traffic will increase.

I agree; I don't think directories are very useful anymore. I'd use other SEO methods first.

Just go all out on SEO, directories are honestly filled with spam sites and other nonsense, there's really no use in getting your site stuck in those databases and directories. 😛
