When I first started my old forum, I was looking up ways to promote it and found Forum Promotion. The whole idea of Forum Promotion was amazing, allowing other forums to build off of other established forums, creating an everlasting community. Due to the fact that there are millions of websites and forums (Now-a-days), its hard to start any type of community and attempting to get any recognition is nearly impossible.
So thats basically my promotion method, building my community off of other communities, and in return I supported the community of other forums by posting on them and staying active.
Brilliant. Forums has change a bit over the years and yes it is can be some times time consuming to build a community. It is well worth it most of the time. I am new to this forum and actually like the feel of this forum. I can see new communities starting up. In the old days I was using forums wrong by trolling them and did not have success at all. This year I am have started a JV with some friends where we are planning to host some workshops and hopefully build a community from there. I would love to share my experience on a few forums once this is kicking off in feb 2016. Hoping to gain quality advise and guidance.
