Super Hosting for Social Media Website

I am planning to launch a social media website in my region. I need to know which hosting will best suite my purpose. I got some suggestions from some friends and colleagues like amazon, bluehost vps, bluehost dedicated etc. I am bit confused which to choose Please help me 🙂

If you have plans to make a major site I'd recommend Amazon Web Services because of you suddenly get popular you'll need the extra resources. Be prepared for higher costs and have a revenue plan.
