I haven't bought the full game, but I have had a few goes of the demo version. Liking it so far, but can't really compare it to previous games as I've only played those at friends houses, which isn't long enough to explore all the characters or memorise exactly how the mechanics work or change between games.
Regardless, nothing has stood out badly to me, so even if there has been a change, nothing feels like it was broken in the process. Although I'm hoping I don't just have that impression because of playing the demo, and that the full game retains that impression for me whenever I play it.
The demo was okay, but it would've been nice to be able to do a bit more on it rather than play on the same stage (or two stages since the Omega version of it is basically just a Final Destination style of whatever the selected stage is) repeatedly with the same five characters and only the option of two minute timed matches. It was cool at first, but it got pretty boring pretty quick once you do it enough. n_n
The full game is nice, I'll say that much. Only thing I'm not super thrilled about is how the online lags. n_n Then again, it's a minor thing that can be dealt with, I guess; it's just a little annoying. It's the 3DS too, so I don't think I should've expected too much in terms of less lag, but hey, it works. Apparently the Wii U version has less lag, not sure about the validity of that though since I don't have a Wii U myself.
