I'm not too sure I like the thought of having surveillance cameras in EVERY vehicle starting 2027...even though it's to be used to detect impairment. I just wonder how many people will be spied on through that technology for other uses?

I wouldn't be at all happy with it if it was implemented in the UK because the data would be misused by the authorities, especially the UK police force. I would also argue that it's likely to be redundant in the near future anyway due to AI controlled vehicles.

Why stop at cars? Let's put cameras in every house as well so that we can proactively monitor for crimes that might be committed behind closed doors. Who cares about privacy when we could have complete safety?!

Yeah I'm not a fan of this at all. Sure it's meant to prevent people from driving while intoxicated but you know these will get hacked and people will be spying on you.

I do not think that we in the UK would have them, as a matter of fact, it's independent by country, the sound of things. Taking away police jobs. Might save lives, but what if the system goes wrong, like I predicted to be John Wyan 😛

I’m not a fan. Sorry, that’s taking away entirely too much privacy. I don’t like the idea of being watched 24/7.

I really don't want to give up the little bit of privacy we have left. I'd rather have a little bit more crime in the world and have vehicles without surveillance, thanks.
