Anyone try out this new device which turns TVs into tablets?

For $70, you get this small usb drive looking device which connects to a tv and has wifi connectivity and a usb port for external peripherals.

It says Google TV too so does it offer the same services of Google TV?

Here is a link to it from sears.com

It has some good specs for a small device, like a 1.5 GHz processor.

I saw a few videos of a similar looking device on YouTube. I seen one YouTuber load Ubuntu, Lubuntu, and other versions of Linux on it from a bootable MicroSD card.

It is pretty much like plugging your phone into the TV and using the TV as a monitor. That is all that device does, acts like a tablet but your tv is the monitor.

Cool.
Have any of you used one of these before?
What would you say is the best one for around the same price?

Wow, the MK802 looks great.
$74 is also a good price, i saw one comment say they go for around $55 on amazon.
I shall check out amazon then.
Thanks

These do look good, if they do come down a bit in price then I will be getting one 🙂

I agree a price drop would be great. $55 dollars is a great price. I wonder if there are now people selling used and refurbished ones on eBay for a cheaper price. I think since these use flash memory for storage, and non-mechanical parts they are less likely to break, and a used one should work fine like refurbished digital camera which uses flash memory.
