Switching to paid...recommend please!

I am tired of my free hosting. What is a good paid hosting to use? Cheap would be nice. Also, keep in mind that my forum has only about 1100 posts, so I don't need anything spectactular.

Alright, it looks good. Also, I am new to this, so how would I transfer my current forum to the paid hosting?

It is but you have to pay money for a backup.

1) Buy a database backup from FreeForums (costs about £15 I think)
2) Buy Web Hosting from T35 or HawkHost (both good hosts with fair prices)
3) Install phpBB3 on the new host using this tutorial
4) Once installed, use an FTP client or cPanel to upload the database to the "store" folder in phpBB3
5) Go into Admin Panel -> Maintenance -> Restore
6) You should see the backup ready to restore, then follow the on-screen instructions.

Well your forum isn't huge yet, so paid hosting may not be the best jump. If you buy your database from FF now you can move to better free hosting that has great uptime and large plans. Worst case once you buy paid hosting you can always use it to host little stuff 😛

http://www.fi.st/ is what I use for my free hosting, it is post2host but it's easy to do 😉

If you want a paid host i would recommend hawkhost.com

They are who we use and we have hardly any issues and it gives you alot of space to grow without problems and it is pretty cheap also.
