Tablet PC like iPad and Google Android need an antivirus?

I'm not sure if an iPad or Google Android tablet need an Antivirus since I read some reviews which say Antivirus for Google Android are "Feel good Apps" which make you feel safe, but are not needed because Google Play Apps store already checks and remove dangerous apps, and iOS Apps store also quickly removes deceptive and dangerous apps from the App Store.

If the apple device is jailbroken then you can get dangerous stuff, but apple store is safe.

You should stop dissing everything that doesn't have an Apple logo on it. Apple products are NOT virus, malware etc free. FACT.

The Android does just a good job as Apple does with app validation. To OP, I'd recommend going with Android, they really are innovating the entire technology industry.

I'd so love to argue with this whole statement. It's so wrong. SO WRONG! Though iOS does have minor issues like a silly little java exploit every now and then which do Absolutley nothing unless you want to JB from safari.

Android innovating...yes, that day will come when houses can fly and humans has wings and can fly too.

He's entitled to his opinion.

Android has had heaps of exploits and virus, some pretty bad. I don't feel as though Android is innovating the tech industry at all, it's what the manufactures do with the software which innovates it.

I am a Mac and iPhone user and love the devices. I don't even use Windows or an Android phone. The reason I said that above is because I knew you would respond with emotion-based statements that display your inability to accept someone's opinion and realize that Apple is not the almighty god.

Android innovating...It is! To say that it isn't is absurd. Just the fact that they allow others to use their operating system and customize it is innovation! They are allowing for the advancement of technology much more than Apple does. Apple has created an amazing product; yes. However, their closed doors technique does anything, but allow for creativity and expansion from individual coders and consumers. In fact, someone could easily argue that Apple actually prevents the advancement of technology!

Oh, so Apple products are perfectly safe?
Right. Anything is hackable. The Pentagon is never fully safe. To say otherwise is ignorant.
