How can your email address tag a site as spam? Can you block and incoming email and tag the origin as a spamming site? And how do you do it? I am asking this because there is an issue that a site was tagged as spam by my email address. Is that possible that the email app I am using has tagged that particular email as spam? And why do the other emails (of other sites) arrive properly?

This is a technical question and I hope to get a good answer. I am investigating this issue because if it can happen to my email address then it can also happen to other email addresses (in tagging a particular email as coming from a spamming site).

I always just add it to my junk folder and that's it. Delete all from junk folder

Will that tag the incoming emails from the origin as spam? If so then the subsequent emaiils from that particular origin will go directly to the spam folder instead of the inbox. Am I right on my understanding? But what about the site where the email came from, will it be tagged as spam site? And if that site is tagged as spam site, what damage will be inflicted on that tagged site?

Pardon me for the many questions, I am in search of answers as part of my investigation. Thank you for your reply.

Simple things you might do is to check if there is an option to unsubscribe from their mailing list. If there is, click on it and confirm that you want to unsubscribe. That will stop them from sending mails again. In case you are getting a lot of random junk, depending on the e-mail provider you are using, there usually is a way to either block or filter certain types of mails, or block the chosen sender entirely. But do keep in mind that there are many spam bots and fake mails nowadays that it's close to impossible to get rid of spam. Even if you used your e-mail on just 1 site, if that site ever had an issue with their security and hackers snatched your e-mail you can expect a whole loads of them over time to start showing up.

It depends on the software running the email service. Google for example has extremely advanced anti-spam tools.
