I've scheduled an appointment by phone with my GP today to have some sleeping pills prescribed to me. It's been 6 months since I've been sleeping badly currently in life having dissociation and stress and anxiety attacks at night. I hope with them, I can sleep well at last.

Best of luck, I mean what time do you mostly get t bed and do you have or use tech around you?

Nop I don’t. I usually go to sleep at around 7 pm and wake up from 9-10 till 4-5 am in the morning and then go back to sleep till 11 in the morning with dissociation and stress and anxiety attacks in-between at night on my own.

If it doesn't end up working give melatonin a try and sleep aid.

I would rather stick with my phone alarm. I doubt the health effect of using sleeping pills.

Just as long as they are provided properly and at proper dosages if nothing else gets the job done it's something you just gotta do.

Here an actual example, I have done for the following for constipation but none of them worked unless I also got back an RX for a generic MarLax medication...
  • About half hour to an hour walking on most days regularly
  • Daily intake of veggies (usually at least 3 servings worth daily)
  • Moderating carbs, sugars, salts and fats
  • Drinking coffee with moderate dairy free creamer (dairy does not negatively affect me just for the record)
  • Eating Sourdough instead of usual processed carbs usually
Therefore you can do the "world" for your body and mind but still need that extra boost in medication.

Though I do recommend the OP if entirely possible to actually addresses with the underlying stress and so on. For example if they are working 10 hours days and that's what doing them in they should seek for fewer hours (spreaded out more days and/or higher pay to compensate).

In such regards they might be able to taper off (at least to a degree) of the dosage required/if at all. This should be requested once a year with a medical professional who actually cares about you and your health.

The ones I took made me all psycho - LOL. However, though, this one hospital gave me these prescribed ones called throcryll or something like that - and those work like a charm.

Nonetheless, despite the relaxation of being put to sleep artificially, I stay away from the pills and can normally go to sleep naturally. Anyway, one method to sleep naturally is just to do a hard workout everyday (jogging etc.. or just jogging). Also, another method would be to work your brain daily with playing music or doing math etc..

I've taken plenty of medication that puts me to sleep way back in the day. Benedryl knocks me out. But I mostly don't rely on drugs of any kind to go to sleep.

I have only taken a sleeping pill once in my life and that was when I was in hospital the night before I was due to have a c-section. I was so scared I knew I wouldn't sleep. It was the best night's sleep I ever had and I woke refreshed although I don't need them normally.

I hope since this thread was started you have managed to get some sleep.

why would i take sleeping pill when i can sleep so no

Exactly! That's how I feel about it. I have no issues sleeping and certain medications are hard on your internal organs. Elvis Presley and Heath Ledger died on sleeping medications.

Exactly so obviously it's unneeded and would be more harmful than it's helps.

certain medications are hard on your internal organs.
Which is why you have a healthy liver to handle the loads and for those meds that does real harm that why a dr. normally prescribes them under certain conditions, time spans/cycles, dosages, etc. Even water and oxygen is an toxin if consumed in an excess in a too short amount time of time. Just like taking too much Lithium or what you have you.
