I absolutely hate this.

Yeah, sure. They've been a bad member but why should you laugh at them and talk behind their backs.

How would you feel if you realised it was happening to you? You wouldn't like it, would you?

Its a Sin(In Islam.) A big one too. So I will never say about some1 behind their back which I can't/Don't say infront of them. Everyone should do the same because if you dont dare to speak truth infront, you should be ashamed to do it behind back.

Saying bad things behind people's back is never good and I also don't like it. The older I get the more I try to live by "If you don't have something good to say, don't say anything". Unfortunately I don't always live up to this, but I am getting better.

I don't see how someone can talk behind someones back on the ---->INTERNET!!<-----. In real life you have to talk to people to figure out what people say, but online, you just look at a web page! 😛

Anything that's said to me in confidence over a personal messenger/IM will remain in confidence. But I have little or no sympathy for someone who makes an idiot of themselves on a public forum. I know one forum that takes this to the extreme: http://www.inheritanceforums.com/index.php?showforum=195.

I personally keep people's warn record a secret, as with all disciplinary action. But once someone gets banned that commitment is history. Depending upon the nature of the offense, I may give an explanation as a deterrent to others.

same here. One of the reasons I stopped going on msn.. Along with people spamming me with their links they would constantly send me messages saying
"Do you want to know what <insert blank> said about you?"
or
"Guess what <insert blank> said about <insert blank>?"

... thats jr high stuff.

Ugh, those posts made me so angry, I couldn't even be bothered to read the rest of them. Sure, they may have done something wrong and committed offenses which thus deserved them to be banned, but honestly what do people think the stinking staff room is for???? We don't need to read crap about one guy who plagarizes, one guy who posts porn, garbage like that. I'm so angry I can't even type properly.

Were all humans, talking behind someone's back is unfortunately extremely common. It happens all the time. When members of a community want to promote themselves they will most likely do it by bringing someone else down.

I'm usually very "straight up" and what people think of me only regards them. However, when the center of your conversation is about someone who is not present, you really have nothing to talk about :roll:
