Targeted or what?

Hi,

I run a forum and today/yesterday a lot of people registered within minutes of each other, by this morning there had to be about 30 or so registered and I checked their profiles and they were spammers. However they only used the commenting feature and wrote in spanish on their own comment box. I'm trying to figure out if it was targeted or not. Whats your thoughts?

i have had a few doing this on our status updates recently, i keep an eye on new users now.

It might help if you using an online translator to see what was being said. Online translators aren't great but can give you a rough idea of what is going on.

I think it would still count as spam, even if they only posted in each other's comment boxes. So I would still ban them or else put them on moderation queue.

I don't think its targeted. Spams like that are quite commonly seen. They might be promoting their product, possibly a medicinal one.
