Teaching my little Sister how to Run a Forum : )

today my sister's birthday and she is 14 now. and guess what ? she want to learn how to Manage Forums. :yes: i will help her to start her forum. any tips ?

Well get her starting on a forum on a topic she likes.

Teach her to put in some great grammar when posting as well. (Not saying I have good grammar) 😛

Personally, if my sister wanted to learn how to manage a forum, I'd give her moderator position on my forum (that way she couldn't accidentally screw something up on the back end before she knew everything back there) and I would give her a list via PM of what she could do on a daily basis and then I would show her what I use the Admin CP for and the different options and such.

Then once she is able to use the Admin CP without help and not accidentally screw something up, or if she does, she knows basic ways of how to fix it... I would find her some free hosting and do what @milksheikh said and start her on a forum topic she likes and show her how to start one from scratch.

If you want to, give her a link to my forum. We can teach her what she needs to know about coding and such. 🙂
