Your Quick Review
Pros:
- It would be an understatement to say that I like the theme and the banner. I'm going to make a very bold statement and say that
I love the theme and banner. The color makes a very pretty (for lack of a better word) eyesight; blue is kind of a trend among forums these days because of how professional and how it's such a multi-gender color, and you took that basic and popular blue and turned it into a slightly more..out there professional and multi-gender blue. It's lovely. As is the banner; it would be nice if it blended into the background a bit more, but it looks nice how it is currently regardless.
- Your fora seems to have minimum three active forum-goers on it. That's a good stating base for a community; a few friends who are active there. Invite some [more] friends to your fora and your member base will slowly grow larger, but for the age and stage that it's at, the activity is 'OK' for now.
Cons:
- In the affiliates at the bottom, I vaguely see something scrolling but it just looks like the top of an 'L' or some other letter that has a straight line at the top of it. I'm not sure if you have any affiliates, but if you do there is something scrolling in the bar that I cannot see. And even if I could see it, having something scrolling on the index isn't typically really good. It can hurt some peoples eyes (granted, I'm biased on that with myself having bad eyesight) and just generally be annoying.
- I
strongly dislike how your forum does not have a favicon. When someone bookmarks your fora, you want it to stand out against their other bookmarks. With you having a default favicon, it will not stand out at all amongst the other Zetaboard forums that they may have bookmarked. You can get a custom one made here for you for a little FP$, or you can get a pre-made professional one from
Free favicon, which is a nice favicon providing site.
- Many of the forums on your fora have only one or zero posts in them. I would recommend that you get at least three topics in every forum. I say that and recommend that because I've found that a forum can look more active (and more attractive to potential users) if they have around that amount in each fora.
- To get your forum started off with some members, I would recommend a lot of packages and exchanges. Using Twitter to promote your site, inviting friends, and just generally getting the word about your site out can also be helpful in the beginning stages of your forum too. If you need, I can do a few exchanges with you or direct you to places where you can get packages/promote your forum at.
- I think that you should reset the chat box permissions so that guests cannot see the chat box. Because all it is really doing is making the index longer (and guests with smaller computers - like myself - are not particularly fond of having a really tiny scroll bar. Since guests can't contribute to the chat box conversations and since they seem to mostly be made up of conversations of the fora friends there, that also adds to why I'm recommending that you disallow guests to see the chat box as a guest.
Final/General Thoughts:
What was most liked about the website/forums:
The banner and the theme
What was disliked most about the website/forums:
How it does not have a favicon and how most of the forums have one or zero topics/posts in them.
Final Score : Score - 4/10
