Uh, no. TF2 was in the middle of a "free week", but Valve just announced yesterday that it would be free forever.

I'm slightly frustrated, I hate when I pay for something then a couple years later it is open for the public to get it without paying. I hope they give us buyers something to make a stand out from the crowd, because if it wasn't for us the game wouldn't be popular.

I finally decided to pick it up (since, really, I had no excuse not to, now). Even though I'm pretty bad at it and it lags a bit on my laptop, it's a lot of fun. I really found that I'm a better support character in this, so I've typically been going with Engineer and Medic.

This game being free is rather unbelievable, considering the quality. Its one of the best tactical shooters ever in my opinion and really has a classic FPS feel to it.
