Well these days, it is incredible tricky to find the right person because sometimes you don't get an applications that is good or even considering. I usually look at the applications first because that shows who is willing to put the most effort in, then I usually put them on a trial run to see how they do then hire them. The trial run usually consists of their strengths and weaknesses and see how they deal with their weaknesses.
In this world it's hard, even for an new website that's not big. I had allot of applications in my time and half of them was rejected and the ones that got in didn't last a month. What's hard is I'm an active person and for them they aren't at all. I'm always careful on who I get as my staff, one staff member from my website has been with me for 2 years and so I know who he is. So when I do get new staff they go thought the training part, and real life for me is that to prove they can do it, prove they won't do anything bad. Training rank doesn't have full powers as an mod.
