The Marketing Team is Hiring!

Forum Promotion's Marketing Team is hiring a new #TeamCoral member! Want to contribute to the growth of ForumPromotion? Then the role may be for you!

The Marketing Team is responsible for all areas of Forum Promotion's growth in 2021 and beyond, expanding to new frontiers and attracting the latest webmasters, bloggers, community owners and YouTuber's across the web! The Marketing Team handles areas including Social Media, SEO & Organic Traffic/Search, Engagement & Outreach (externally) and Retention Improvement. As a MTM you will be assigned one of these core areas to work on, and take a lead on your chosen area.

We are currently seeking a Marketing Content Curator who will:
  • Assist with the curation of content and infographics (using free online tools) for Forum Promotion's Social Media channels
  • Compose the monthly FP User Newsletter including core news/announcements, the latest forum posts, and evergreen blog content (note, you will be writing the newsletter not this content)
  • Analyse analytics and data across Social Media and the Monthly Newsletter, reporting back to the MT and MTL
  • Being an advocate for FP on any existing communities you are on
  • Assist with other Marketing Duties as/when required
Previous experience of Marketing is desired, but not essential, and a solid understanding of personal Social Media use, and being a recipient of consumer newsletters would be a sufficient basis to apply with. Full training and support will be provided both during your onboarding to the MT, but also consistently during your time with us - We aim to challenge members and offer full support for personal development.

Applicants must meet the following Requirements:
  • You must be registered on Forum Promotion for at least one month.
  • You must have at least 50 high-quality posts around the community.
  • You must not have received any official warnings in the past 6 months.
  • You must be able to dedicate between 1-5hrs per week on Marketing Team activities: Note, much of the work can be scheduled in advance so this does not have to be spread across everyday.
  • You must have a fun and outgoing disposition! Representing the FP brand both within the community, and externally, it's important to be fun!

To apply, please PM me, @Cumulus, the following application form:

Tell us an interesting, fun, fact about you![/b]

If you have any questions or would generally just like a chat about the role, please drop me a private message! To those applying, the best of luck!

If I get hired, the username color will need to be changed to blurple berry supreme. Is this doable?

What is the compensation?

MTMs receive FP$ incentives for the evergreen content they edit/produce, and they also receive in-depth training and access to industry tools such as Canva Pro, SEMRush and Guru Card. In the near future we hope to expand the tech stack offering we have which could potentially include discounts off software and high-street retailers.

Alongside this is building and gaining experience in a Marketing Position which can be helpful on Resumes/talked about when applying for jobs: We encourage applications from those wanting to branch into the world of marketing or have an interest in the industry. We can provide full training of tools and features.

And as Ozzy said, a sense of helping your community out is there too 🙂

That is a piece of candy not a colour, so no. Who wouldn't want to rock awesome Coral though 😵😳

It’s definitely a color. I can’t be on a team without this demand being met.
Good luck to others.

And what are your credentials to offer such marketing experience that is resume-worthy? Do you have a linkedin profile to share?

So why not crack on instead of asking a volunteer to do it for you?
Lots of work is currently being done to support marketing efforts, however with multiple strands needing tackling, it's important there is multiple people involved in this. Some areas being worked on includes:
  • Social Media
  • Evergreen Content & the Blog
  • Backlinks & Domain Authority
  • PR & Exposure
  • Directories & Online Communities
  • Member Retention & Newsletters
Whilst I'm skilled in these strands, it's always good to have people focused on different aspects and help take up some of the workload. This position currently being recruited includes content generation for Social & Newsletters which is quite an entry level position not requiring formal qualification or experience - As time progresses I will be training people up in other strands which require a bit more 'knowhow' and hopefully have multiple people competent at the areas FP needs skills in. As I'm too volunteering my time, I don't have the time fully necessary to work on every little detail myself. I'll be recruiting 1-2 MTMs initially to ensure they can take up some of the core tasks allowing me to focus on our strategy and specialist SEO/marketing areas.

It's also good to never have a single point of failure in a team, and being solely reliant on me is not the best if I get ill, have to take time away from being online etc. Business planning will always involve reducing SPF's and trying to ensure competence spans a few individuals or at least is broken into pieces across a department/team.

I hope that adequately covers your question 🙂

Thanks for all the applications! The MTM vacancy has now been filled 🙂
