No, hacking and cracking aren't illegal.

Hacking without consent is illegal. Same with cracking. And my forum doesn't focus on either of those points, but the closest it comes is Security.

You can't secure something if you don't know how to break it.

That is part of my forum. It is also legal.

As I am legally allowed to exploit someones network if I have permission, as well as I can exploit my own network with my own permission. I can crack, and exploit others software if I have their permission, as well as I can exploit software I wrote if I have my own permission

I even have a rule against what your talking about.

- Don't ask how to get warez, keyloggers, 'hacking programs', viruses, and the likes. You aren't cool for asking. Alternatively, don't post these kind of things.

I thank you again for the heads up, but I know what I am doing. pkdude113, It would also be nice to post a link to where you got that code of conduct from.

I am not a fan of SMF really but it does look ok. Some areas of the forum don't seem active and haven't had a post for a few weeks. It might b best to remove the sections with no posts recently or merge them or post some new topics to get some discussions going.
