Hey there, I am debating about switching hosts as I feel MyBB looks a lot nicer than phpBB. I made a test board on icyboards to familiarize myself with MyBB as it's been ages since I played with it last. One thing I don't understand is editing template/styles. It sounds like it's a lot easier than phpBB, but does anyone know any decent tutorials and such that are easy to follow like with changing color codes and stuff? I especially want to know how to do a style completely from scratch, rather than editing an existing theme. Thanks.

Changing colours is through the css files.

Global.css is what you want for changing smalltext size, thead colours and so on.

Do you know CSS? That is how you make it from scratch, you just let the ids and classes and empty them. You can let things you don't want to remove and add your desired pics. You can also do some html for the sake of markup.
