Templates on phpLD

I have installed a template to phpLD 2.2 though the default one is still showing. Does anyone know what else I need to do?

Hmmm well, they do have a support forum. I would try posting up your problem there. They got back to me quick. 2.2 is unstable and it sucks anyways. I would advise to get the 30$ paid version.

I can help you with the 2.2 template problem, I also had that problem and when I didnt get any support from anywhere, I decided to try something by myself and it worked.

So all you got to do is unzip the downloaded template and then goto your template directory of phpld delete everything that is there and upload all the files of your downloaded template in template folder of phpld, That would work.

phpLD 4 is much better. With 2.2, you can only ever have one skin. The PR checker doesn't work/is dodgy and you get limited support from the main site, since its free. Basically, its outdated and unreliable.

well I didnt got to their main site for support I just asked a friend who used phpld before but he also used the paid versions so I solved it myslef, I dont see anything wrong with the 2.2 version.
The pr checker works fine in it but the problem one can face is of templates in 4 you can have more templates and change then in a click or two but in 2.2 you have to do some work for it which is fine by me as not every one can pay the 30+ dollars.

I may get phpLD4 in the future though can you keep the links from phpLD 2.2 when converting?

Yes your new phpld 4, when you upload it, you will just overwrite all the files that are all ready there, keeping the same database. But you do have to do the install sequence again. But all your stuff will stay. Just make sure to back up your files just in case.

Yeah, just be sure not to change the database and it "should" contain the same data. Like John said, be sure to back it up.
