This website is only few months old, and we already have more information than any other English shogi websites, and more activities on our forum and our archived old forum than some other shogi forums that are over 2 years old already.
We also have a blog, an IRC chatbox, a Chatango chatbox, a wiki (Shogipedia; see link above), a blog, and of course, a forum (link above as well). The 81-Square Universe has a great network of people, from complete novices who are just checking out the game, to takodori-san (Vice President of Internetional Shogi Promotion Association) and Hidetchi-san (famous YouTube shogi promoter and video-maker). The website was started by Eric De Las Casas and I as a promotion of shogi to the world, but it has became so successful that we decided to move the original forum to a domain and added a wiki. The new forum can host shogi kifus in Flash applets and our highly-skilled players would constantly be updating with professional games and title matches in Japan, while also analyze your games played on websites such as Shogi-Dojo 24 or http://www.PlayOK.com. There are so many features about shogi on the website that it would take me too long to advertise them all so please just go check them out yourself!
